EU Compliance for United Kingdom Sellers
Post-Brexit, UK sellers are treated as non-EU sellers for EU market access. UK businesses selling covered products to EU customers need to ensure an EU-based responsible economic operator is in place — which may be an EU AR, an EU-established importer, or another permitted operator depending on the supply chain.
Country Guides Overview
UK sellers were previously part of the EU single market. Since Brexit, they must comply with EU product regulations as non-EU sellers. Amazon UK sellers selling to EU customers, Shopify stores with EU customers, and UK manufacturers exporting to EU distributors are all affected.
Requirements depend on the product, applicable legislation, and supply chain. This information is provided for general guidance and does not constitute legal advice.
