Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using AuraDPP, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you and AuraDPP GmbH.

2. Service Description

AuraDPP is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform that enables merchants and manufacturers to create, manage, and publish EU-compliant Digital Product Passports (DPPs) as required by EU Regulation 2024/1781 (Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation, ESPR). The platform provides QR code generation, scan analytics, and optional EU Authorized Representative services.

Subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Publish false, misleading, or fraudulent product information in Digital Product Passports
  • Use the platform to violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API beyond your plan limits
  • Share API keys or account credentials with unauthorized third parties

AuraDPP reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

5. Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all product data you upload to AuraDPP. By using the platform, you grant AuraDPP a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service. We do not sell your data to third parties.

6. Accuracy of DPP Data

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legal compliance of the product information published in your Digital Product Passports. AuraDPP provides the technical infrastructure but does not verify the accuracy of product data. Providing false sustainability claims may violate EU consumer protection law (Directive 2005/29/EC on unfair commercial practices).

7. Limitation of Liability

AuraDPP provides the platform "as is". We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Slovak law. Disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of the Slovak Republic. For EU consumers, mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence apply.
